1. The main character's point of view was him as the player and he was looking at life in Madrid very stressful and hard and he didn't expect that at all.

2. It seems like he wants us to feel like the character is feeling when there's a big instant change in life. This brings me stressful and sad and also happy emotions as Santiago is feeling.

3. The author is restating all what happened in the movie and the life that Santiago is having in Madrid is not only happy but stressful and it's a feeling he's never experienced it before.

I can relate to this book because it is about a girl trying to get a man for her mom and it's basically what I'm trying to do but except my parents are still together. I'm just trying to help them improve their relationship. The girl gets heavily affected by the departure of her dad and cheating on her mom and now he has kids with her. Well in my situation, my parents have issues and they don't want to go out with each other while my dad is trying to improve their relationship but it isn't working so I try to step in and help them out. They tell me everything just like her mom tells her. My parents are still together though, unlike the girl's mom. My siblings don't know much about this while I do and the girl's siblings do know about it and she isn't as affected as she is herself. This is why I can relate to this book and why it relates to me.

this describes the two kids being frustrated while their mother can't find the right man. They are going through divorce problems and they are obviously being effected. Meanwhile , his mom is having a hard time.

"you know those old cartoons where the character has an angel version of himself sitting on one shoulder and a devil version on the other? Well, Amanda was like my mom's angel version because she brought out the best of her. Karen was like my mom's devil version because she brought out the worst."

I liked this paragraph because I can relate. The same thing happens to me when my mom is with one of her friends that are those type of friends. This paragraph is relatable to me since this happens to my mom when she hangs out with her friends in front of me.
